This course offers an introduction to the difficult art of film and television adaptation from a book, graphic novel, and theatrical text. The student must be able to identify the key points of the source of original that can be translated into audiovisual language and also find new avenues of invention, cutting and even change to make sure that the final product succeeds in having appeal with the audience and then also a minimum of fidelity with the original text.
At the end of the course the student will bè able to conceive of a television and film adaptation, at least in the form of a treatment, of a novel, graphic novel, or theatrical text, being able to rewrite and rework the language used by the primary source to mutate it into that of the new product.

Admission requirements, examinations and final examination
Applicants with a High School Diploma and a Bachelor's Degree or a Master's Degree, Master's Degree, or Old Degree are eligible for enrollment. In the absence of the required qualifications, admission on dossier is possible on the basis of an evaluation of the qualifications obtained and the experience acquired, as well as the skills developed within the framework of professional activity. KNOWLEDGE OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE IS ESSENTIAL.
Lectures will be delivered at the discretion of the Lecturer through term papers, commentaries, specialized manuals, handouts or lectures via live streaming platform. Evaluation is given in thirtieths.
The final examination consists of written paper.
Program
Consolidate understanding of a narrative text, graphic nine or theatrical text;
Consolidate the ability to focus on the idea and theme;
Know the main models of script construction;
Write a list of salient elements;
Identify the primal structure and then conceive the new narrative arc ;
Create a treatment concept with feasible elements;
Identifying obsolete features of the text;
Rewriting dialogue and scenes inherent in the model to be conceived;
Knowledge of the spirit of the original work;
Evaluation of transformations and modern rendering;
Mastering the new rewriting and concatenation of scenes;
Evaluating the works.
