History of Medieval Art and Architecture

The Master's Degree course in the History of Medieval Art and Architecture trains the student in the scientific study of the birth and development of medieval art and architecture in Europe and the Mediterranean area, valuing the technical and stylistic innovations that will be subsequently transmitted and developed in subsequent eras. Successful completion of this degree course will result in 120 ECTS.

Content

Upon completion of the Master's Degree course in History of Medieval Art and Architecture, the student will have acquired the tools that will enable him or her to conduct an art-historical evaluation of a work of art or architecture under consideration, being able to read that work in the context of the period of reference and emphasizing its technical innovation and influence in subsequent eras.
