The Course aims to deepen the student’s knowledge of the technologies for producing a printed product, building on what was learned during the three-year program, so as to enable them to address both topics related to printed-product manufacturing (catalogues, brochures, magazines, books, folding cartons, boxes, labels on both paper and polymer substrates) and topics concerning production machines and equipment, and to provide a foundation for research into new materials, new products, and new technologies.
At the end of the Course, the student will have achieved the following learning objectives:
· in-depth understanding of the technologies and materials involved in printed-product manufacturing
· knowledge of issues related to the production of specific products such as MOCA (Materials and Objects in Contact with Food) and toys
· deeper understanding of topics related to workplace safety
· providing the foundations to address testing and type-approval/certification of production machines and equipment
· providing the foundations to undertake research on materials, products, production processes, machines, and equipment
Successful completion of this Master’s program entails the award of 120 ECTS.
