Studio of Film Analysis and Various Film Genres

This course offers specific knowledge of film as such, which is analyzed in all its aspects. The course also offers the opportunity to study and learn more about what are the genres and sub-genres of film and television work as such.

Content

At the end of the course, the student will be able to understand how to evaluate a film independently of personal taste, in an objective manner, and will be able to identify what are all possible genres and also subgenres that make up the work of television and film.

Admission requirements, examinations and final examination

Applicants possessing a High School Diploma and a Bachelor's Degree or a Master's Degree, Master's Degree, or Old System Degree are eligible for enrollment. In the absence of the required qualifications, admission on dossier is possible, based on an evaluation of the qualifications obtained and the experience acquired, as well as the skills developed within the framework of professional activity.

 

Lectures will be delivered at the discretion of the Lecturer through term papers, commentaries, specialized manuals, handouts or lectures via live streaming platform. Evaluation is expressed in thirtieths.

 

The final examination consists of a written paper.

Study of the genre, evolution and history.

Study of the comedy genre and its subsections.

Study of the drama genre and its subsections.

Study of the Western genre and its subsections.

Study of the Musical genre and its subsections.

Study of the Horror genre and its subsections.

Study of the Thriller/Crime genre and its subsections.

Study of the Action genre and its subsections.

Study of the comedy genre and its subsections.

Study of the Animated film genre and its subsections.

Evaluation of the elements that make up the genre.

Knowledge of hybridization and cohesion among genres.
