History of Contemporary Art and Architecture

The Master's degree course in History of Contemporary Art and Architecture provides the student with the knowledge and tools to analyze contemporary art and architecture from the perspective of both researching past influences and current evolutionary trends, assigning a prominent role to the preservation of this artistic heritage both at the level of individual works and in the urban-landscape complex. Successful completion of this degree program will result in 120 ECTS.

Content

Upon completion of the Master's degree course in History of Contemporary Art and Architecture, the student will have acquired the tools that will enable him or her to conduct an art-historical evaluation of a work of art or architecture taken under consideration, being able to read that work in the context of the years of the contemporary era, indicating the currents that have influenced it and the possible influence it has exerted on other works, on its communicative and functional capacity and on the technical-artistic path of the author.
