History of Ancient Art and Architecture

The Master's Degree course in History of Ancient Art and Architecture trains students in the scientific study of the birth and development of ancient European and Mediterranean art and architecture, emphasizing its importance as a historical-stylistic foundation for all European art up to the modern age. Successful completion of this degree program will result in 120 ECTS.

Content

Upon completion of the Master's Degree course in History of Ancient Art and Architecture, the student will have acquired the tools that will enable him or her to conduct an art-historical evaluation of a work of art or architecture taken under consideration, being able to read that work in the context of the period of reference and valuing its historical-stylistic importance and influence in subsequent eras.
